Localities. Loc. 1, 3, 5, 8.

Known distribution. Finland ( Luther 1960).

Material. Several individuals studied alive.

Description and remarks. Prostomium, excretophores and peristaltic movements correspond to Luther’s description (1960). However, the pharyngeal glands could not be seen in our specimens, which also showed epidermal inclusions (fig. 7G: ei). These inclusions are similar to the rosette-shaped glands described in Stenostomum glandulosum Kepner & Carter, 1931 , which also has a prostomium-like anterior end. Stenostomum anatirostrum Marcus, 1945 also shows a prostomium-like anterior end but is much larger in size.
