Type locality. Germany, Kiel (“Habitat in Kiliae Corylo”). Material examined. None.

Identity. Pandemis corylana (Fabricius) ( Tortricinae , Archipini ) ( Fernald 1908).

Remarks. Pyralis corylana is the type species of the genus Pandemis Hübner, 1825 by subsequent designation by Fernald (1908), and the senior synonym of Tortrix textana Hübner, 1799 . Its identity has remained stable in the literature (e.g., Pierce and Metcalfe 1922, Brown 2005).
