Diagnosis. Thorax: ostiolar ruga auriculate, inconspicuous ( Fig. 3 E). Abdomen: black maculae of urosternites absent, shared with N. similis (sometimes) and N. immaculata . Male: ventral rim of pygophore with brims developed towards middle, continuous at mid line ( Fig. 8 E), shared with N. naspira and N. orbiculata ; paramere trilobate, one of the lobes in sagital plan, resulting in a bilobate paramere when observed in posterior view, as in N. soror . Female: posterior margins of gonocoxites 8 sinuous near sutural angles; gonocoxites 8 with deep longitudinal sutures attaining posterior margin of urosternite VII ( Fig. 16 E); basal half of laterotergites 9 concave; central area of gonapophyses 8 totally exposed, sub-retangular, sutural margins of gonocoxites 8 parallel, not juxtaposed. This last character is exclusive of N. mendax among Nezara species.
