Cephennodes elytratus View in CoL species group

This is a newly established group to accommodate three species that have the aedeagus as species of the Cephennodes longipes group, but males bearing modifications in submedian lateral region of each elytron, in the form of a patch of modified (shortened and/or flattened) setae. Such characters can be seen in Cephennodes (s. str.) elytratus Jałoszyński, 2007a (Guangxi, China) and two new species described below. Despite the similarity of the aedeagi between the Cephennodes longipes and Cephennodes elytratus groups, their general body shape is different and species belonging in the latter do not have particularly long antennae or long, sparse setae among suberect basic elytral vestiture.
