Diagnose: Körper ptychoid (PD kann unter NG geklappt werden); NG stark gekrümmt, aus 4 Platten bestehend. d-Borsten kaum erkennbar. Kleine Arten.
In Südeuropa und Krim: Protoplophora palpalis Berlese , 1910 [16d].
Im Bearbeitungsgebiet kommen keine Arten der Familie vor.
