Etymology: The specific name is an adjective and refers to the shape of the sclerite of the female genitalia.
Diagnosis: The new species is most similar to O. thoracica Xu, 1987 , but can be distinguished by the strongly curved seminal duct of the male palp, and by the shape of the female genitalia.
Description: Male. Total length 0.92, carapace length 0.52, carapace width 0.38, abdomen length 0.48. Habitus as in Figs 1C, D View FIGURE 1. A – H . Color in alcohol: Carapace yellow, legs and palp pale yellow. Cephalothorax: Carapace oval, surface smooth, with net-shaped pattern, with some long setae on top surface, pars cephalica slightly elevated in lateral view, with rounded posterolateral corners. Clypeus ( Fig. 3B View FIGURE 3. A, B, D, E ) similar to O. aureola sp. nov., ALE separated from edge of carapace by their diameter or more; setae present, needle-like. Eyes similar to O. aureola sp. nov. Sternum (Fig. 2B) longer than wide, with brown patches, without radial furrows between coxae, surface smooth; setae sparse, needle-like, evenly scattered, without hair tufts. Mouthparts: Chelicerae straight, anterior face unmodified; labium shortened hexagon, not fused to sternum, anterior margin not indented at middle; endites (Figs 2B, 7D) strongly sclerotized, distally not excavated, outer margin with row of denticles. Abdomen ovoid, with gray net-like pattern; pedicel tube short, unmodified, scuto-pedicel region unmodified. Legs without color pattern; femur IV thickened, much larger than femora I–III. Male genitalia ( Figs 7 View FIGURE 7 A–C): Tbia of palp enlarged, cymbium small. Bulbus cucurbit-shaped, the sclerotized seminal duct strongly curved and visible through the cuticle of the palpal bulb. Embolus short.
Female. Total length 1.24, carapace length 0.54, carapace width 0.41, abdomen length 0.69. As in male except as noted. Endites with serrula. Female genitalia: Ventral view ( Figs 4 View FIGURE 4 B, 7F): without special external features. Dorsal view ( Figs 5D View FIGURE 5. A – E, G, H, J , 7 View FIGURE 7 E): Medially a large sclerite, the anterior part of which shows two short lateral protrusions; ventral to the sclerite a membrane; posterior to the sclerite a massive dorsal plate.
Distribution: Known only from Hainan Island.
