Type material: Holotype male ( IZCAS Ar 19320), China: Hainan, Baisha, Yinggeling, Yinggezui Protection Station, 693 m a.s.l., 19°03.049´N, 109°33.751´E, 25 August 2010, leg. G. Zheng; 1 male and 1 female paratypes ( IZCAS Ar 19319), same data as holotype; 2 female paratypes ( IZCAS Ar 19318), China: Hainan, Ledong, Jianfengling, 997m a.s.l., 18°44.658´N, 108°50.435´E, 18 August 2010, leg. G. Zheng.
Etymology: The specific name is an adjective and refers to the shape of the cymbium.
Diagnosis: The new species resembles O. lahj Saaristo & van Harten, 2006 in having a small apophysis on the proximal region of the chelicerae, but can be distinguished by the three long setae on the distal region of the male chelicerae ( Figs 3 View FIGURE 3. A, B, D, E C, D), by the greatly enlarged male palpal tibia, by the simple curved seminal duct, and by the shape of the female genitalia.
Description: Male. Total length 1.29, carapace length 0.62, carapace width 0.49, abdomen length 0.61. Habitus as in Figs 1E, F View FIGURE 1. A – H . Color in alcohol: Carapace yellow, legs and palp pale yellow. Cephalothorax: Carapace oval, surface smooth, with net-shaped pattern, pars cephalica slightly elevated in lateral view, with rounded posterolateral corners. Clypeus ( Figs 3 View FIGURE 3. A, B, D, E D) similar to O. aureola sp. nov., ALE separated from edge of carapace by their diameter or more; setae present, needle-like. Eyes similar to O. aureola sp. nov. Sternum (Fig. 2C) longer than wide, with brown patches, without radial furrows between coxae, surface smooth; setae sparse, needle-like, evenly scattered, without hair tufts. Mouthparts: Chelicerae ( Figs 3 View FIGURE 3. A, B, D, E C, D) straight, proximal region with one small apophysis; distal region with three pairs of long setae; labium triangular, fused to sternum, anterior margin not indented at middle, with one pair of short strong setae mediolaterally; endites (Figs 2D, 8D) distally not excavated, serrula absent, anteromedian tip unmodified, with 3–4 strong setae. Abdomen ovoid, with gray net-like pattern; pedicel tube short, unmodified, scuto-pedicel region unmodified. Legs without color pattern; femur IV thickened, much larger than femora I–III. Male genitalia ( Figs 8 View FIGURE 8 A–C): Femur of palp distal part strongly narrowed; tibia of palp much enlarged, globose, conspicuously larger than bulbus, cymbium small, tip truncated. Bulbus pyriform, The sclerotized seminal duct slightly curved and visible through the cuticle of the palpal bulb. Embolus short.
Female. Total length 1.52, carapace length 0.56, carapace width 0.52, abdomen length 0.94. As in male except as noted. Chelicerae without small apophysis and special setae; labium without short strong setae mediolaterally, endites with serrula. Female genitalia: Ventral view ( Figs 4 View FIGURE 4 D, 8F): without special external features, the internal genital structures shining through the integument. Dorsal view: Medially a large sclerite; ventral to the sclerite a duct-shaped modification, which is distally bifurcated ( Figs 5E View FIGURE 5. A – E, G, H, J , 8 View FIGURE 8 E); posterior to the sclerite a circular sclerite (Csc in Fig. 8 View FIGURE 8 E).
Distribution: Known only from Hainan Island.
