Thinolestris obscura Grootaert & Meuffels, 1989 , Indo­Malayan Zoology 5: 35 ( Fig. 6 ).

Diagnosis: Antenna reddish yellow, third segment darker than basal segments. Palp with white hairs. Mesonotum and scutellum brownish black. Abdomen with all tergites dark brown, except for first tergite with a narrow yellow band anteriorly. Tergites with short white hairs and pale marginal seta. Tip of hypandrium shallowly indented ( Fig. 15 ).

Distribution: Indonesia: North Sulawesi: Celebes Sea.

Phenology: Adults observed only in September (being the only collecting period).
