Description. Body yellowish brown (Figs. 7–9). Head and face yellowish brown, frons slightly darker, clypellus somewhat lighter, eyes brown. Pronotum brown, anterior margin almost yellow. Scutellum yellow, with two triangular spots in side angles. Forewings yellowish brown, hyaline, veins distinctly visible, from brown to black, legs yellowish brown.
2nd sternal apodemes in male small, triangular, separated by wide gap, with sharp tips and with inner margins almost parallel to each other (Fig. 55).
Pygofer broad, elongate, caudal margin rounded, pygofer processes slender, distinctly bent outwards in caudal view (Figs. 52–54). Subgenital plates slender, slightly expanded in apical half, marginal setae short (Fig. 52).
Aedeagal shaft rather broad in side view, widest in middle, in distal half uniformly tapering towards apex, gonopore oval, nearly apical (Figs. 56–57). Styles slender, with nearly parallel margins, tips sharply bent, rounded (Fig. 58). Connective with a stout finger-like protrusion in middle, both lateral arms twisted to dorsum (Figs. 59–60).
Female unknown.
Body length (including tegmina): 3, 4.4 mm.
Host. Unknown.
Distribution. China (Yunnan prov.).
Diagnosis. The new species is similar to M. linnavuorii Viraktamath, 1981 , but can be distinguished from the latter one by relatively small and nearly apical gonopore, more slender and longer pygofer processes bent outwards and by different shape of styles.

Etymology. The new species name is derived from the Latin word “ exterius ”, indicating that both pygofer processes distinctly twisted outwards in caudal view.
