Examined material. BOYACÁ. Pajarito, Quebrada Conguta, 1,250m, colecta diurna, 7 sep 1981, I. de Arévalo / ICN _MHN He 0 0 398 (1f, ICN); META. Macarena, Los Micos, nov 1970, L.A. (1f, ICN); Monteredondo, 1,400m, apr 1947, L. Richter (1m, ICN). Other specimens: COLOMBIA (without specific locality data), 26 aug 1976 (1m, ICN).

Comments. First record of this species for Colombia. The genus has three species described. This species has been recorded for Venezuela, Trinidad, Guyana, Surinam, French Guiana, Brazil, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Paraguay and Argentina ( Rolston 1975).
