Examined material. MAGDALENA. Cincinati, El Campano, 7 apr 1977, R. Restrepo / ICN 0 55724 (1f, ICN).
Comments. First record of this species for Colombia. The genus Banasa very diverse with 80 known species, and new taxa are still being described ( Garbelotto et al. 2011). This species has been recorded for Venezuela and Brazil ( Thomas & Yonke 1990).
