Comments. First record of this species for Colombia. The genus has nine species described. This species has been recorded for USA, Mexico, Nicaragua, Honduras, Panama and the Caribbean ( Maes 1994, Froeschner 1999, Thomas 2000, Arismendi & Thomas 2003, Perez-Gelabert & Thomas 2005). Sailer (1944) mentioned that can to have some records for Colombia, but these ones are not confirmed because do not mentioned the specific locality or if the specimen was examined by him.
