Amasha abrupta Medler, 1992: 26 View in CoL . Holotype, female, Carriedo Rest House, 20 km SW of Davao, Mindanao, Philippines, 1000m, 1–7.xi.1965, David (USNM)
The species was not examined by author, the following description is from Medler (1992).
Differs from congeners in short length of truncate vertex ( Fig. 6 View FIGURES 1 – 6 ); frons truncate dorsally, margin formed by broad U-shaped carina which medially terminates longitudinal frontal carina ( Fig. 5 View FIGURES 1 – 6 ). Postclaval sutural margin extended at angle of 165° from claval apex, meeting apical margin at angle of 65°; numerous closely spaced terminal veins in submarginal area; submarginal area 0.5 mm wide. Tegmen ochreous, color obscured by dusting of white waxy powder, veins dull green, margin narrowly red, without black spots or lines. Holotype valvulae III with row of heavy spines on ventral margin, same as seen in A. decepta View in CoL . Distribution: Philippines.
