Remarks. This species has a wide distribution in Brazil, as it has been recorded in Amazonas, Espírito Santo, Maranh„o, Mato Grosso do Sul, Roraima, Bahia, and S„o Paulo States, commonly in large rivers ( Righi-Cavallaro & Lecci 2010; Gonçalves et al. 2017; Carvalho et al. 2020). The specimens examined here match the description of Froehlich (2008), presenting the characteristic head color pattern of this species. Moreover, the penial armature and the male forewing length (9.0– 9.4mm, n=3) agree with the description and illustrations provided by Froehlich (2008). Due to the findings of this study, we present this new record from Minas Gerais State, therefore filling the distribution gap of this species.
