Holotype female in MNNC [Note: Salgado, 2006: 88 states he examined a “type” in MNHN, but the original description indicates a single female type (assumed as holotype) in MNNC].
Type locality: Chepu, 42º03’ S, Isla de Chiloé, [Chiloé Province], Chile.
Distribution: Chile: Aisén (AFN, personal data): Arauco (AFN, personal data), Cautín, Chiloé (also cekalovici ), Concepción ( cekalovici ), Llanquihue (AFN, personal data), Malleco (AFN, personal data), Ñuble, Osorno (AFN, personal data), Palena (AFN, personal data), and Valdivia (AFN, personal data) Provinces.
= Dasypelates cekalovici Salgado, 1992b: 172 View in CoL ; Newton, 1998: 167 comb. (to Chiliopelates View in CoL ); Peck et al., 1998a: 43 syn. Holotype male in JMSC. Type locality: El Manzano, Concepción Province, Chile.
