E. glabricollis ( Reitter, 1884: 40)
(Dissochaetus); Portevin, 1907: 67 comb.; Jeannel, 1936: 51; Szymzakowski, 1963: 667; Salgado, 1999: 44, 2005d: 975, 2011d: 40 (male type seen), 2015b: 32. No information about types in original description (Reitter or Portevin);
? Syntype (s) in MNHN [in Jeannel, 1936, sex and number of specimens not given; a male aedeagus illustrated].
Type locality: Blumenau, [Santa Catarina State], Brazil.
Distribution: Brazil: Alagoas [doubtful record—see Note], Pará, Santa Catarina, and São Paulo States; Paraguay: Alto Paraná Department .
Note: Salgado (1999: 44) cites a record for “Alagoas (Serra Branca)” and adds “… records are new for Serra Branca ...” [sic] as if the later was a State [in Brazil]—first, Serra Branca is not a State, but Alagoas is; second, Serra Branca is not a locality in Alagoas, and this name might refer to a stream near Água Branca or a mountain near Palmeira dos Índios, both in Alagoas State, or to Serra Branca, a city in Paraíba State, or something else.
= E. ater Portevin, 1903a: 164 View in CoL ; Jeannel, 1936: 51 syn. (based on comparison of types). Holotype male [a single specimen in original description, assumed as holotype] in MNHN (original description refers to [probably] Grouvelle collection; Jeannel 1936 refers to Pic collection). Type locality: “ Brazil, with no precise indication”.
