Genus Colon Herbst
Colon Herbst, 1797: 224 (as Kolon ).
Type species: Kolon viennensis Herbst (2 species in original description, all as “new”— viennensis , claviger);
des. in Thomson, 1859: 60 (not stated as taxonomic change); brunneus View in CoL listed as the single species in the genus in Shuckard, 1839: 158 (if type species designation [as by monotypy], not stated as taxonomic change; species not originally included in the genus).
