Distribution: Brazil: Pará, Pernambuco, Rio de Janeiro, and São Paulo States; Colombia: Amazonas and Magdalena Departments; Costa Rica: Cartago Province; Ecuador: Pichincha Province; French Guiana; Guyana ( British Guiana) [Kamakusa—Note: An old collecting site, on the Mazaruni river, about 40 km E of the Merume mountains (SBP, personal data)]; Panama: Colón, Darién, and Panamá Provinces. Biology: Wasmann, 1904: 482 – 483; Bezerra et al., 2000 (adaptive behavior with host); Peck, 2003a: 73.
