Periacerus lankensis Viraktamath and Parvathi 2002: 489 View in CoL , 494, figs 8–20.
Diagnosis. Ochraceous. Median stripe on lower half of frontoclypeus extending to half length of clypellus, lateral stripe on either side along lateral margins of frontoclypeus extending on to lorum, dark brown. Exposed mesonotum with large median brown spot on mesoscutum. Male anal collar processes with posterodorsal rounded lobe with crenulate margin. Aedeagal shaft apex gently hookd with apex more or less truncate.
Female not known.
Material examined. HOLOTYPE ♂, SRI LANKA: Hakgala , Ceylon, v.1911 ( BMNH).
Remarks. Viraktamath & Parvathi (2002) adequately described and figured this species. It is similar to the types species P. laithae but differs in the facial coloration, crenulations on distal process of the male pygofer anal collar and the shape of the apex of aedeagal shaft.
