Ulavius dworakowskae (Viraktamath) View in CoL comb. nov.
Figs 46A–J View FIGURES 46 , 62F View FIGURES 62 , 71A–H View FIGURES 71 .
Idioscopus dworakowskae Viraktamath 1979a: 25–26 View in CoL , 39–43.
Diagnosis. Pale brown, two round spots on fore margin of head, mesonotum with basal triangle, black. Male pygofer ventral margin concave in middle, anal collar process almost straight, style with subapical tooth, aedeagus with shaft sinuate, apex attenuated, dorsal apodeme well developed with basal 0.66 apressed to the shaft.
Description. Female. Sternite VII 2× as wide aslong medially, narrowed posteriorly and posterior margin slightly convex ( Fig. 62F View FIGURES 62 ). Valvula I straight, slightly wider in proximal 0.25 then narrowed to bluntly pointed apex, sculptured area occupying almost distal 0.75 length, strigate, strigae almost vertical ( Figs 71 View FIGURES 71 ABEF). Valvula II slightly curved ventrally, more or less of uniform width, with few effaced widely spaced teeth ( Figs 71 View FIGURES 71 CDGH).
Material examined. HOLOTYPE ♂, INDIA: Karnataka: Jog Falls, 19.xi.1976, C.A. Viraktamth ( UASB). Other material studed: 1 ♀, same data as holotype but collected on 18.xi.1986 collectd by B. Mallik; 2♀, same data as holotype but collected on 4.ii. 178; India Karnataka: 4♂, 1♀, Sirsi, collected at light during March and April 2005 and 2006, Radhamani, T.R; Puducherry: 1♂, 1♀, Mahé, 15.ix.1979, A.R.V. Kumar ( UASB); 8 ♂, 9 ♀, Makuta, May 2004, Vateria indica canopy, Y.B. Srinivasa ( UASB, NBAIR).
Remarks. Viraktamath (1979a) adequately descrihed and illustrated the species. In this species the preatrium is not very well-developed, but has all other features of the genus. Specimens collected from Makuta on Vateria inidca canopy are slightly different from the typical specimens; a) mesoscutellum slightly lighter in color; b) aedeagal shaft is more strongly sinuate; c) female ovipositor exceeds beyond folded wings.
Viraktamath, C. A. (1979 a) Jogocerus gen. nov. and new species of idiocerine leafhoppers from southern India (Homoptera: Cicadellidae). Entomon, 4, 17 - 26.
