ORIGINALLY INCLUDED SPECIES: Rueppellia semiflava Wiedemann, 1830 . TYPE SPECIES: Rueppellia semiflava Wiedemann, 1830 , by monotypy. CURRENT STATUS: Valid genus [ teste Lyneborg (1980: 316) ; as “ Ruppellia ”]. FAMILY: THEREVIDAE . REMARKS: There are two original spellings of this genus-group name in Wiedemann (1830a): Ruppellia (page 625)

and Rüppellia [= Rueppellia ] (page 664 [plate legend] and page 675 [index]). Acting as First Reviser, Bezzi

(1903: 213) chose Rueppellia as the correct original spelling.

REMARKS: Name available as an emendation by virtue of original and changed spellings being printed together and the changed spelling being adopted (in the errata on page 604).
