FAMILY: GLOSSINIDAE . REMARKS: Glossina Wiedemann, 1830 (December) is threatened by the earlier genus-group name Nemorhina

Robineau-Desvoidy, 1830 (June). In order to preserve the nomenclature, taxonomy, and usage of the much more common Glossina Wiedemann, 1830 , an application has been submitted to the ICZN Commission

( Evenhuis & Pape, 2012) for reversal of precedence between the two names.
