Identification. This species has a mean length of 24 cm. The head of this species is uniformly sepia, with short, light-brownish stripes, including on the forehead and cheeks. The tarsi and feet are bluish-green. This species was recently separated from Campylorhamphus procur- voides (Lafresnaye, 1850) and described by Aleixo et al. (2013).
