2. Tapinoma nitida HNS .
T. nigra, lævis, nitida; alis hyalinis, nervuris pallide testaceis.
Female. Length 41/4 lines. Shining black ; the antennæ and the head, before their insertion, ferruginous. Thorax oblong-ovate ; the legs dark ferruginous, the tarsi palest ; the wings hyaline, the nervures pale testaceous ; the discoidal cell triangular. The scale of the peduncle inclining forwards and overhung by the base of the abdomen ; the latter oblong-ovate, very smooth and shining.
