Lectotype (Epling in Repert. Spec. Nov. Regni Veg. Beih. 110: 58. 1939): Clayton 292 (BM-000042241).

Current name: Salvia urticifolia L. View in CoL ( Lamiaceae ).

Note: Epling (in J. Bot. 67: 6. 1929) noted the existence of a sheet in LINN, and treated a Clayton sheet as the standard (not the same as a type). However, he subsequently designated Clayton 292 as the type.
