Dasyrhamphis umbrinus (Meigen, 1820) View in CoL

This species is widely distributed through East Mediterranean reaching Turkey and Iran ( Abbassian-Lintzen 1964). Moreover, the species recorded from the Asiatic part of the former U.S. S.R ( Olsufjev 1977). In Europe, it was recorded from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, European Turkey, Greece, Italy, Republic of North Macedonia, Slovenia, and former Yugoslavia ( Chvála 1988). It was recorded from Jordan, Lebanon, and Palestine (Al-Talafha et al. 2004; Müller et al. 2012b). The species was collected in a large number on flowers in Lebanon, whereas in Jordan it was collected on cows (Al-Talafha et al. 2004; Müller et al. 2012b).
