Tabanus cordiger View in CoL is Palearctic and widely distributed species, collected from, Morocco, Turkey, Armenia, Iran, and most European countries ( Abbassian-Lintzen 1964). This species was reported from Iraq, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and Syria. This species shows variations in the abdominal pattern and median callus shape and coloration intensity ( Chvála et al. 1972).
