Atylotus agrestis View in CoL is one of the most abundant tabanids in Africa with a wide distribution ( Desquesnes & Dia 2003). It was recorded from Iraq, Palestine, Saudi Arabia, and South Yemen. This species was incriminated as an efficient vector to transmit trypanosomiasis in Africa ( Desquesnes & Dia 2003; Mulandane et al. 2020). In Saudi Arabia, the flies of agrestis View in CoL were collected during a study to investigate the blood parasites of camels, sheep, goats, and cattle ( Hussein et al. 1991).
