Occurrence of this species in the Arab countries of the Middle East is doubtful. Austen (1920) collected four specimens from Palestine. The species has not been collected after that ( Theodor 1965). Chvála et al. (1972) did not confirm the occurrence of this species in the region under investigation and Abu El-Hassan et al. (2013) did not include this form in the Egyptian fauna.
