The following is a brief introduction of the taxonomic research progress mainly of the marine crustacean groups in China. The order and names of the groups take into account both the traditional and the newest classification system. The superclass Remipedia is very scarce and only reported from Australia and Indian Ocean. The superclass Cephalocarida is scarce, too, and only reported from North and South Atlantic Ocean, the North, South Pacific Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea. Neither of them are recorded in China.
