General distribution. Southern Europe, Slovakia, Canary Islands, Morocco, Cyprus, Anatolia, Armenia, Lebanon,? Israel, Syria, Iran,?Kirgizia ( Lindskog 1995; Benedek 1970; Protić 1998, 2009).
Comment. The specimens from localities ‘Beynam’ and ‘Çamlıdere’ ( Hoberlandt 1952a) belong to S. amplicollis (P. Kment revid.); the specimen from ‘Yeniköy’ is currently missing in NMPC.
