Vernacular Names: Forrest's Rock Squirrel.
Distribution: Yunnan Province,( China). See Zhang et al. (1997).
Conservation: IUCN – Vulnerable.
Discussion: Subgenus Rupestes ( Moore and Tate, 1965) . Apparently parapatric with davidianus ESE of Kunming.
