CUF - NKNY - B 19 (154 shells; Figs 12 J View Figure 12 , 16 D View Figure 16 ).
Habitat.
Fine sand, sandy mud and muddy bottoms at intertidal to sublittoral zones at a depth from 1 to 70 m ( Huber 2015).
Distribution.
Indian Ocean; Indo-West Pacific, from Taiwan to Australia ( Huber 2015). Records of fossils from the Late Miocene in the Philippines and from the Holocene in Thailand ( Robba et al. 2002; Surakiatchai et al. 2018).
Record in Thailand.
Gulf of Thailand and Andaman Sea ( Wells et al. 2021).
Taxonomic remarks and comparisons.
This species differs from its similar species, Corbula tunicata Reeve, 1843 , by having a weaker keel on the juvenile shell part ( Swennen et al. 2001).
