TYPE MATERIAL EXAMINED. India, Madras , 1♀ (holotype), leg. J. R. Henderson, BMNH .
DISTRIBUTION. India (Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu) ( Pocock, 1900: 51; Tikader & Bastawade, 1983: 257) .
COMMENTS. This species was based on a unique female from India (see photo in Kovařík, in press). Fage (1933, 1936, 1944) assigned to it specimens from Indochina, which I believe to belong to the above described I. petrzelkai sp. n.
