Description. Male. Integument dark brown; basal half of antennal segment 4, coxae and basal half of femora, yellowish. Body with gray pubescence predominating. Dark-brown pubescence covers: a vitta on each side of occiput, sides of prothorax, with a longitudinal line on each side of middle of pronotum, an oval dorsal patch on basal ¼ of elytra, epipleurae, an elongated sutural post-median line, with rounded lateral margins, and a dorso-longitudinal elytral line from humeri to apices. Metepisterna covered with dense yellow pubescence.
Antennae exceeding elytral apices by 6 segments.. Prothorax with acute lateral tubercles. Pronotum with sparse punctures on posterior margin. Elytra coarsely punctate on basal two-thirds, the setae restricted to posterior half of lateral margins; elytral apices obliquely truncate, outer angles acutely spinose. Urotergite 5 with apical margin rounded; urosternite 5 semicircularly emarginated at apex.
Female. Urotergite 5 with apical margin rounded; urosternite 5 truncate and spinose at outer angles.
Measurements (mm), male/female. Total length, 6.5–7.0/6.0–7.0; prothorax length, 1.2–1.3/1.0–1.2; prothorax width, 1.5–1.7/1.5–1.7; elytral length, 5.0–5,6/4.8–5.3; humeral width, 1.7–1.8/1.6–1.7.
Etymology. The species epithet refers to a State of Venezuela; proposed as a noun in apposition.
