Distribution in Iran. Ardabil ( Modarres Awal 1996b, 1997b), Guilan ( Wagner 1968), Hormozgan ( Wagner 1968; Hoberlandt 1989), Kerman ( Seidenstücker 1957; Hoberlandt 1989; Linnavuori 2012), Khuzestan, Sistan & Baluchestan ( Seidenstücker 1957; Hoberlandt 1989).
General distribution. South Mediterranean basin (in Europe only from Greece, Portugal and Spain), Canary archipelago, the Sinai, Saudi Arabia, Transcaucasia, Africa.
Comments. On Acantholimon sp. ( Plumbaginaceae ) ( Wagner 1968), Tamarix sp. ( Tamaricaceae ) ( Hoberlandt 1989), and Medicago sativa (Fabaceae) ( Modarres Awal 1997b).
