Chironomus daitobeceus View in CoL and Polypedilum daitoneoum View in CoL have the following characters in common with P. nubifer (Skuse) View in CoL : body color dark brown; gonostylus short and thick; and superior volsella parallel-sided with rounded apex, inclined medially ( Fig. 36 View FIGURES 32 – 38 ). Accordingly, both species are considered as junior synonyms of P. nubifer View in CoL .
