Cladopelma edwardsi (Kruseman) View in CoL
( Fig. 31 View FIGURES 27 – 31 )
Cladopelma edwardsi ( Kruseman, 1933: 194–195, Fig. 55) (as Tendipes ( Parachironomus )).
Cryptotendipes sibaabeus Sasa, Sumita et Suzuki, 1999: 184 View in CoL –185, Fig. 3 View FIGURES 1 – 12 a–j. [Holotype 316: 100.] Syn. nov.
In Cryptotendipes Lenz View in CoL , the gonostylus is not clearly separated from the gonocoxite and widened medially in basal half, while in Cladopelma Kieffer View in CoL the gonostylus is elongate, curved and usually constricted in basal half. The gonostylus of Cryptotendipes sibaabeus View in CoL fits the diagnosis of Cladopelma View in CoL . Based on Kruseman (1933) and Yamamoto (1997, Fig. 31 View FIGURES 27 – 31 ), C. sibaabeus View in CoL should be considered a junior synonym of Cladopelma edwardsi (Kruseman) View in CoL .
