Type:― SOUTH AFRICA. Dist. Ceres: 10 miles NE of Tulpfontein, shale desert ex succulent Karoo, c. 1400 ft elev., 23 June 1948, Acocks 14455 (holotype K-000243968 !; isotypes PRE-0375570-0 !; PRE-0593085-0 !) .
