Diagnosis. M. longibursoides is similar to M. rugulosa Wang & Zhu, 2020 in male genitalia. It can be distinguished by the forewing with a subterminal fascia extending from distal part of the costal margin along termen to before tornus, in the male genitalia by the clavate uncus and the saccus distinctly shorter than the uncus. In M. rugulosa , the forewing contains a row of black dots extending from distal part of the costal margin along termen to tornus, the uncus is cone-shaped and the saccus is approx. as long as the uncus (Wang & Zhu 2020: 350, Figs 18, 34). It is also similar to M. spiculata sp. nov. The differences between them are explained in the diagnosis of M. spiculata .

Description. Adult ( Fig. 5 View FIGURES 1−6 ). Forewing length 6.0–7.0 mm.

Head yellow; vertex mixed with black and dark grey scales. Labial palpus yellow; second segment with scattered black scales from near base to before apex on outer surface; third segment with sparse black scales on ventral surface. Antenna yellow, scape black on dorsal surface; flagellum annulated with black on dorsal surface.

Mesonotum black, yellow laterally; tegula yellow, with sparse black scales basally. Legs yellow, with exceptions on ventral surface: foreleg black except coxa yellow, tibia mixed with yellow scales in basal 1/2 and yellow at apex, tarsus yellow at base of basal tarsomere and at apices of basal two tarsomeres, femur of midleg with scattered black scales, tibia black except yellow at middle and at apex, tarsus black except yellow at base of basal tarsomere and at apices of basal two and apical one tarsomeres, tibia of hindleg dark grey, tarsus with basal four tarsomeres black except yellow at apices.

Forewing broad lanceolate, apex rounded; ground color orange yellow, with diffused black scales, with a black stripe along basal 1/4 of costal margin; median fascia black, extending from beyond middle of costal margin oblique to tornus, its inner margin slightly arched; subterminal fascia diffused from distal part of costal margin along termen to before tornus, narrowed; plical spot indistinct, composed of a few black scales, at about middle of fold; discal spot black, rounded, at distal 1/3 of cell; dorsum with a black spot at base; fringe yellow except dark grey near apex and around tornus. Hindwing and fringe yellowish grey.

Male genitalia ( Fig. 11 View FIGURES 7−12 ). Uncus slender, clavate, pointed at apex. Tegumen sub-trapezoidal, with a broad shallow triangular anterior emargination. Costal part of valva widened from near base to basal 1/3, thereafter narrowed to rounded apex, setose basally and ventrally; ventral margin arched inward in basal 1/3, produced in distal 2/3; costa weakly sclerotized, reaching apex of costal margin; transtilla sub-triangular, arched dorsad; sacculus wide at base, narrowed medially, shrunk at middle, lanceolate in distal 1/2, obtuse dorsoapically. Saccus wide at base, narrowed to rounded apex, approx. 3/4 length of uncus. Juxta narrow at base, widened and curved medially, narrowed distally, rounded at apex. Phallus tubular, nearly same length as costal part of valva; widened from base to basal 1/2, thereafter narrowed to apex; cornuti formed as a row of spines.

Female genitalia ( Fig. 15 View FIGURES 13−15 ). Papilla analis rectangular, setose on dorsal surface. Apophysis posterioris approx. 3.0 times length of apophysis anterioris. Eighth tergite obtuse on posterior margin, slightly concave medially on anterior margin. Eighth sternal plate spiculate; posterior margin lined with long setae, deeply concave medially, anterior margin straight. Antrum sub-trapezoidal. Ductus bursae membranous, with a granulous sclerite near corpus bursae; ductus seminalis arising from near corpus bursae. Corpus bursae extremely elongate; signum placed near anterior margin, ovate, with dense teeth.

Distribution. China (Xizang).

Etymology. The specific epithet is derived from the Latin longi- and bursoides, referring to the very elongate corpus bursae.
