Holotype: UPR-M 3377.
Type locality: Nirgua, Yaracuy State, Venezuela.
Distribution: Regions 2, 3, 4, 5. Colombia, Venezuela, Brazil, Guiana, Suriname, andFrenchGuiana.Widespread in Venezuela, from northern lowlands of Cordillera de la Costa, throughout Los Llanos, to Orinoquian lowlands.
Remarks: In the Dendropsophus microcephalus species group sensu Faivovich et al. (2005).
