MATERIAL EXAMINED. — La Foa County ( IAC, SRFP), 25.XIII.2003, on leaves and twigs of Carya illinoinensis (Pecan nut), S. Cazères coll., Rosa C. Henderson det. ( NZAC); same loc., 2.XI.2009, on twigs of grapevine, S. Cazères coll., Rosa C. Henderson det. ( NZAC, CXMNC).
PUBLISHED RECORDS IN NEW CALEDONIA. — Williams & Watson (1990) noted that it was already present in 1928, when it was collected by Cockerell.
DISTRIBUTION IN NEW CALEDONIA. — Grande Terre (La Foa County).
HOST- PLANTS IN NEW CALEDONIA. — Annona muricata , A. reticulata , A. squamosa , Averrhoa carambola , Citrus spp., Codiaeum spp., Ficus spp., Litchi chinensis , Malvaviscus arboreus and Persea americana ( Cohic 1956) , recently found on Vitis vinifera and on Carya illinoinensis .
OTHER RECORDS. — Almost cosmopolitan, but absent from North and South America.
BIOLOGICAL AGENTS. — Cryptolaemus montrouzieri ( Coleoptera : Coccinellidae ) and the entomophagous fungus Lecanicillium lecanii (Fungi, Hypocreales , Cordycipitaceae ).
NOTE. — Quite rare in New Caledonia.
