MATERIAL EXAMINED. — La Foa County ( IAC, SRFP), 20.VIII.2002, on leaves of Mangifera indica, C. Mille coll., Rosa C. Henderson det. ( NZAC, CXMNC); same loc. and date, on leaves of Caryota mitis, S. Cazères coll., Rosa C. Henderson det. ( NZAC, CXMNC); La Foa County (Nili), 2.XII.2006, on leaves of Dypsis sp. ( Arecaceae ), C. Mille coll., Rosa C. Henderson det. ( NZAC, CXMNC).
PUBLISHED RECORDS IN NEW CALEDONIA. — Cohic (1958a); Williams & Watson (1990) noted that it was collected “before 1929”.
DISTRIBUTION IN NEW CALEDONIA. — Grande Terre (La Foa County).
HOST- PLANTS IN NEW CALEDONIA. — Aleurites moluccana , Alocasia macrorrhiza , Calophyllum inophyllum , Canna indica , Cocos nucifera , Ficus spp., Latania commersonii , Oreodoxa regia , Scaevola frutescens ( Cohic 1958a) . It was recently found on Citrus spp., Ficus carica , Caryota mitis and other Arecaceae , Mangifera indica , Musa sapientum and Theobroma cacao ( Mille 2011) .
OTHER RECORDS. — Almost cosmopolitan.
NOTE. — Rated as a non-economic species in New Caledonia.
