Cazères coll., Rosa C. Henderson det. ( NZAC, CXMNC); Mont-Dore County ( IAC, SRMH), 12.X.2002, on leaves of Oxera nerifolia, G. Gâteblé coll., Rosa C. Henderson det. ( NZAC, CXMNC); Cherterfield Islands (Île Longue), 6.XI.2012, on Heliotropium foertherianum, H. Jourdan & E. Bourguet coll., Christopher Hodgson det. ( CXMNC).

PUBLISHED RECORDS IN NEW CALEDONIA. — Williams & Watson (1990) noted that it was already present in 1928, when it was collected by Cockerell.

DISTRIBUTION IN NEW CALEDONIA. — Loyalty Islands (Maré), Grande Terre (La Foa, Bourail, Mont-Dore counties) and Cherterfield Islands.

HOST- PLANTS IN NEW CALEDONIA. — Carica papaya , Citrus spp., Cucurbita spp., Ficus carica, Orchids ( Williams & Watson 1990) , Persea americana ( Mille 2011) , recently found on Oxera nerifolia and on Heliotropium foertherianum .

OTHER RECORDS. — Almost cosmopolitan.

BIOLOGICAL AGENTS. — Encyrtus infelix ( Hymenoptera : Encyrtidae ), Scutellista caerulea ( Hymenoptera : Pteromalidae ), and the entomopathogenic fungus Lecanicillium lecanii (Fungi, Hypocreales , Cordycipitaceae ).

NOTE. — Can be a problem locally and sporadically.
