Type Specimens. Holotype ( NMNH) and paratypes (16 NMNH), examined.
Diagnosis. This species is distinguished from other Carphobius by the pronotum with coarse, deep punctures spaced less than a puncture diameter apart, and larger, deeply impressed punctures on the elytral disc.
Host. Cupressus lusitanica Mill.
Distribution. Guatemala.
