Pachypsylloides View in CoL sp.

Material examined. AV: 1 ♂, Elot, 5 km N, 29º37.254’N 34º59.388’E, 14.v.2010 (A. Freidberg).

Published records in Israel. AV ( Burckhardt & Halperin 1992).

Host plant. Calligonum comosum (Polygonaceae) .

Comments. The single male of this possibly undescribed species resembles Pachypsylloides aemulus Loginova , P. patulus Loginova , P. pompatus Loginova and P. probus Loginova in the irregularly, narrowly rounded forewing with a long pterostigma and the paramere which bears an anterior thumb-like process. It differs from these species in the distal segment of the aedeagus bearing a large apical dilatation which is almost half as long as the segment compared with less than a third in the other species. More material is required to ascertain whether the two females belong to this or another species.
