The lanei group
This group of species is characterized by: veins R4–R5 less than twice length of R5–M1; postpedicel greater than twice length of scape and pedicel combined; palpus without visible segmentation between first and second segments. Only three specimens of this group are known (holotype and paratype of N. lanei and holotype of N. tauauna ), and it was not possible to dissect type specimens. However, palpal characters distinguish it from congeners.
