Types. Holotype, female, China: Shaanxi Province, Xi’an City, Cuihua Mountain, 34°98’N, 109°00’E. August 15, 2005, from Picrasma quassioides (D. Don) Benn. (Simarubaceae) , coll. Xue, Xiao-Feng and Song, Zi-Wei. Paratypes, 7 females and 7 males, with the same data as holotype.
Relation to host. Vagrant on leaf surface. No damage to the host was observed.
Etymology. The specific designation picrasmae is from the generic name of the host plant, Picrasma .
Remarks. This species is similar to Tegolophus paliurus Kuang & Lin, 2001 , but can be differentiated by dorsal annuli with microtubercles (dorsal annuli smooth in T. paliurus ), empodium knobbed (empodium unknobbed in T. paliurus ) and different dorsal shield designs.
