Lectotype (Reveal in Turland & Jarvis in Taxon 46: 466. 1997): Kalm, Herb. Linn. No. 524.2 ( LINN) .

Current name: Cercis canadensis L. View in CoL ( Fabaceae : Caesalpinioideae ).

Note: Although Isely (in Mem. New York Bot. Gard. 25(2): 210. 1975) noted specimens in both LINN and BM, either of which he felt would be a reasonable choice as lectotype, he made no formal choice himself.
