Andrena argentata Smith, 1844 View in CoL , Zoologist, 2: 409 [female, England]; Stöckhert, 1930, Hym. Nord-und Mitteleurop., 942, 982 [female and male, in key].
Andrena (Leucandrena) argentata: Warncke, 1968 View in CoL , Mem. Est. Zool. Mus. Univ. Coimbra, (307): 94; Osytshnjuk, 1977, Faun. Ukraini, 12(5): 265; Osytshnjuk, 1995, Key Insects Russian Far East, Vol. IV, Part 1, 509, 525 [female & male, in key]; Gusenleitner and Schwarz, 2002, Entomofauna, 12(suppl.): 93–94 [remarks].
Redescription: See Osytshnjuk (1977).
Specimens examined: Not available in this study.
Remarks: Although we could not examine the material collected from East Asia, Osytshnjuk (1995) recorded this species from Russia Far East. As in A. barbilabris the pronotum has a weak humeral angle and dorsoventral ridge. It can be separated from barbilabris by the labral process trapezoidal-shaped, the propodeal enclosure tessellate, not rugulose, and the metasomal terga 2–4 with distinct and close punctures.
Distribution: Russia (Far East Area, European Russia); Middle to north Europe.
Floral association: not available from East Asia.
